Gathering of Arab Women | Leaders in the Land

Worship, Prayer & Vision Amid War

On June 7, 2024, we welcomed around 35 Arab women leaders to a special gathering at HOPE. These women, representing various churches across the Galilee, came together for a deeply meaningful time of fellowship, worship, and prayer. It had been far too long since we had last seen one another, and this reunion brought a beautiful sense of unity among the mothers of the land.

As we stood side by side, we could tangibly feel the Father’s heart and His love moving among us. In the midst of war and uncertainty, our time together reminded us of the strength found in spiritual family. We worshiped powerfully, lifting up prayers for our land, for our government and its leaders, and for our Arab brothers and sisters in Gaza. Additionally, we interceded against the increasing violence within the Arab community in Israel, standing in the gap for healing and restoration.

A Call to Build in Unity

Later in the gathering, I had the opportunity to share a word of encouragement from the Book of Nehemiah. The Lord impressed on my heart the importance of building together in unity, just as Nehemiah and the people of Israel did. I focused on Nehemiah 4:20, which declares:

“Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!” (NIV).

Ultimately, the message was about sounding the trumpet and coming together in one spirit, trusting that the Lord Himself will fight for us.

40 Days of Fasting and Intercession

In light of this word, I called the women to join us for 40 days of fasting. I encouraged them to rise up and take spiritual responsibility for their cities—to walk, pray, and prophetically build the wall and straighten the bars of the gates where God has placed them. Together, we embraced this call to stand watch and intercede for our communities with renewed faith and determination.

Fellowship Around the Table

In conclusion, to close our time, we broke bread, prayed for one another, and offered words of encouragement in the Lord. One of our precious staff members, a mother among us, lovingly prepared a rich and nourishing meal that we enjoyed as a family. The fellowship was sweet, the prayers were powerful, and the unity was deeply felt.

Ultimately, this gathering marked not only a reunion but a renewed sense of purpose as Arab women leaders continue to arise with boldness, faith, and love in adversity.
