A Call to Watch and Pray During War

During the first forty days of war between Israel and Iran, the Lord spoke to our family at HOPE through a warning dream received by one of our team members. The dream carried a clear call from God: stand watch in the spirit and press deeper into prayer for the land. We sensed an invitation to move in greater authority through intercession and reign with Him in prayer.

As I prayed into this word, I felt the Lord lead me to call for ten hours of prayer. Our team mobilized for a day of worship, intercession, and spiritual watchfulness. During the first prayer watch at HOPE, I received a vision from the Lord.

The Lion Entering Iran

In the vision, I saw the Lion of the Tribe of Judah marching from Israel toward the land of Iran. When He reached the southern border of the nation, He stepped into the land and released a powerful roar over the entire country.

At the moment of His roar, I saw a mighty angel descend from heaven. The heavens tore open as the angel came down carrying a golden scepter in his hand. He struck the center of Iran with great force.

The moment the scepter touched the ground, a fountain of water burst forth from the earth. The water spread rapidly across the land like a rushing river.

A River Flowing Through the Nation

As the river surged forward, it carved deep riverbeds throughout the land. The water first moved northward from the center, then turned east, flowed west, and finally stretched southward. I watched the river expand in every direction with unstoppable force.

The riverbeds formed a cross across the land of Iran. Living water flowed through the cross, reaching the four corners of the nation.

The river carried life.

Healing, Joy, and Awakening

Then I saw people across Iran notice the river near their homes. Many recognized in the spirit that something holy had appeared among them. Drawn by hope and wonder, they moved toward the water.

When they reached the river, amazement filled their faces. They asked where this river had come from. Joy broke out among them.

Some jumped into the water and swam. Others walked through it without drowning. Many drank deeply from it. Refreshment, healing, and restoration touched their souls.

The vision revealed more than personal renewal. The river did not stop at the borders of Iran. From every direction—north, east, west, and south—the waters flowed outward into neighboring nations.

Iran became a place of harvest, healing, and life for the surrounding regions. Transformation spread through the land as the river continued to flow.

“Iran Belongs to Jesus”

As I looked upon the cross-shaped river over Iran, I heard these words rise strongly in my spirit:

“Iran belongs to Jesus. I will restore the captivity of Elam.”

The vision carried both a prophetic promise and a declaration of redemption over the land.

Scriptures Connected to the Vision

The vision immediately brought several passages of Scripture to mind.

Joel 3:16

“The LORD also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the LORD will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel.”

Revelation 22:1–2

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

Jeremiah 49:39

“‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the LORD.”

Isaiah 11:10–11

“And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious. It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea.”

A Prophetic Picture of Restoration

This vision revealed a prophetic picture of revival, healing, and restoration flowing through Iran and into the nations around it. The cross-shaped river spoke of the victory of Jesus, while the living water revealed the healing presence of God reaching hearts, homes, and nations.

The Lord continues to call His people into prayer, watchfulness, and partnership with His purposes in the earth.
