Prophetic Vision: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN

Prophetic Vision: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN

January 28th, 2026

Entering a Deep Place of Worship

During our weekly prayer and worship time, we entered a deep place in the Spirit. The sound of the instruments—especially the cello—drew us into the Lord’s presence. We waited. We lingered. We ministered to Him.

In that holy atmosphere, the Lord opened a vision to me.

The Handwriting on the Wall

I saw a hand writing on a wall.

As I listened carefully to the Holy Spirit, I heard the words clearly in my spirit:

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

I immediately recognized them from the Book of Daniel 5:25.

The same hand that wrote in Babylon now wrote again before my eyes.

The Original Warning to a Persian King

In Daniel’s account, a hand wrote those words to King Belshazzar, son of Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Persia. Belshazzar refused to humble himself. He ignored the lesson his father had learned the hard way.

Nebuchadnezzar lost his glory and his throne because pride filled his heart. He would not bow to the God of Daniel, the one true God of Israel. Judgment followed arrogance.

That same weight of warning filled the atmosphere of my vision.

A Prophetic Turning Toward Modern-Day Persia

As the words echoed in my spirit, I sensed the Lord turning my attention to modern-day Persia—Iran.

I felt Him addressing today’s hardened and prideful ruler. The Spirit of the Lord spoke with clarity and authority. The ancient decree now confronted a modern throne.

The Interpretation: Numbered, Weighed, Divided

Scripture gives the interpretation:

“This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” – Daniel 5:26–28

I knew in my spirit that the Lord pointed to the modern ruler of Persia, Ali Khamenei.

He has been weighed in the balance and found wanting.
God has numbered his kingdom and finished it.

MENE, MENE: The Emphasis of Heaven

The repetition of “MENE, MENE” struck me deeply. The Spirit emphasized the word numbered.

I began to search for the years of the Islamic regime’s rule in Iran. The revolution took place on February 11, 1979. By February 2026, 47 years will have passed.

God numbers kingdoms.
God sets their limits.
God determines their end.

A Divine Convergence: Purim and Persia

We stand in awe as we watch the Lord move in the history of nations.

Around the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, and in convergence with the festival of Purim—when the scroll of Book of Esther opens again across Israel—the timing carries prophetic weight.

The story of Esther unfolds before our eyes.

“Because Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to annihilate them, and had cast Pur (that is, the lot), to consume them and destroy them; but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letter that this wicked plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.” – Esther 9:24–25

Modern-day Haman builds his own gallows.
God overturns wicked decrees.

Forty-Seven Years and a Striking Detail

Another detail captured my attention.

After 47 years of rule by the Ayatollahs, war erupted against Iran. The United States now stands under its 47th president, Donald Trump, who has openly called for freedom for the Iranian people.

I do not see a coincidence.
I see divine orchestration.

The Decree of the Watchers

Scripture declares:

“This decision is by the decree of the watchers, and the sentence by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men.”
Book of Daniel 4:17

The Most High rules over the kingdoms of men.
He raises leaders.
He removes them.
He establishes His purposes in the earth.

A Call to the Esthers of This Hour

We live in an ordained moment.

The Esthers of this generation must rise as watchmen. We must lift our voices. We must release a corporate roar and establish God’s throne in Elam—Iran—and across the Middle East.

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Book of Esther 4:14

For such a time as this, we must discern the hour and respond.
