Gaza: The Battle Against Hamas Intensifies
In June, the IDF called up tens of thousands of reservists as the war to dismantle Hamas and its terror infrastructure in Gaza escalates. Among the terrorists recently eliminated was Mohammad Sinwar, brother of Yahya Sinwar and the current Hamas leader in Gaza.
Humanitarian aid continues to flow into Gaza. However, for the first time, international organizations—not UNRWA—are overseeing its distribution. Hamas, furious at losing control and profit from reselling the aid, has begun threatening civilians who accept it. We remember and pray for the suffering Gazan population, caught between terror and survival.
While IDF soldiers fight on the ground, Israeli negotiators are still pushing for a new hostage deal with Hamas. So far, the terror group refuses to accept Israel’s terms. But there is one bright spot: this month, Edan Alexander, the last living Israeli-American hostage, returned home. Hamas released him as a gesture to President Trump. Edan endured horrific torture, starvation, and abuse in Gaza’s tunnels.
In a somber development, the IDF recovered the bodies of two more hostages and brought them home for burial. We continue to intercede for the 56 hostages still held captive. May they be rescued by negotiations, military missions, or divine intervention.
Syria: Rocket Fire from the North Raises Alarm
For the first time since the fall of the Assad regime, rockets launched from Syria struck Israeli territory. Two terror groups aligned with Hamas claimed responsibility. Syria’s new leader, Ahmad al-Sharaa—also known as Abu Muhammad al-Julani—denied any connection.
Despite his new image and warm reception from Western governments, Julani’s regime continues to persecute minority groups in Syria. The Alawites, Christians, and Druze suffer under his rule, and they need our prayers more than ever.
Yemen: Houthi Attacks Target Israel’s Heartland
The Yemenite Houthis remain relentless. Throughout May, they launched missile after missile toward Israel, triggering sirens, especially in Central Israel. Most rockets were intercepted, but on May 4, a missile landed just outside Ben Gurion Airport.
By God’s grace, it fell in an open area and caused no casualties or damage to infrastructure. Still, many foreign airlines have suspended flights to Israel, harming the tourism industry. The Houthis know exactly what they’re doing. Now they threaten not only Ben Gurion Airport but also the Haifa port.
Iran: Nuclear Threat Grows Amid Failed Diplomacy
Talks between President Trump’s administration and the Iranian regime continued throughout the past months. The goal: to halt Iran’s nuclear enrichment. As many expected, Iran refused to back down. Now, with the regime edging dangerously close to developing a nuclear bomb, the situation has reached a critical point.
A military solution may be the only path forward. We pray for wisdom from above—for leaders in the U.S., Israel, and beyond, as they weigh their next steps.
