Gaza: Fighting Resumes as Ceasefire Ends
The ceasefire with Hamas officially ended last month after Israel failed to secure an agreement that included the release of more hostages under fair conditions. As long as Hamas remains in power, peace in Gaza remains impossible.
The IDF has resumed operations, issuing clear evacuation orders before entering each new area to protect civilian lives. Troops also avoid striking areas where hostages may be held, demonstrating a high level of caution and precision. We continue to pray for the safe return of the 59 hostages still held by Hamas. Reports suggest that 24 may still be alive. May they come home swiftly and safely.
In a powerful and dangerous move, Gazan civilians have begun demonstrating against Hamas, exposing the growing internal resistance to the terror organization’s oppressive rule. We hope those who wish to flee Hamas’ control can find safety and begin new lives elsewhere.
Lebanon: A Shift in Public Sentiment Against Hezbollah
The ceasefire with Hezbollah has also expired, yet the group is significantly weakened. In a bold show of change, Lebanese civilians are speaking out against Hezbollah, calling for more moderate and peaceful relations with Israel.
Most notably, Lebanese President Yousef Aoun ordered the removal of Hezbollah flags and Nasrallah’s image in Beirut—a rare and courageous decision that signals a potential turning point for the nation. There is a wind of change in Lebanon.
Yemen: Houthi Threats Renewed Amid Rising Missile Attacks
Since the fighting resumed in Gaza, Yemeni Houthis have once again threatened ships traveling through the Red Sea. Even more concerning, since March 20, ballistic missile attacks from Yemen have triggered air raid sirens across Central Israel, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, multiple times per week.
Iran: Diplomacy First, but Military Options Remain on the Table
With President Donald Trump back in office as of January, discussions between the U.S. and Israel have refocused on the urgent threat of Iran’s nuclear program.
President Trump is prioritizing diplomatic negotiations with Tehran. However, with the Islamic regime accelerating its nuclear capabilities and showing no intention of halting its efforts, Israel may be forced to take military action if diplomacy fails. Let us pray for wisdom and courage for our leaders as they navigate these high-stakes decisions.
